Our volunteers come from different walks of life with various backgrounds and passions committed to helping others. We take our convictions to ensure school board members uphold their oath and focus on education only.
To all of you concerned about education in the Niles Township District, we want to provide momentum that creates much-needed change. Together we can make sure schools focus only on curriculum, not politics or personal agendas.
Imagining the future requires reflection on current society and how things will likely turn out in social life and education over the next 10, 20, or more years. Our goal is to hold those shaping young minds accountable.
School Resource Officers (SROs) are sworn law enforcement officers responsible for safety and crime prevention in schools. Beyond law enforcement, SROs also serve as educators, emergency managers, and informal counselors. SROs play an integral role in ensuring the physical safety of a school building and all inside. They are a vital resource to schools, and our goal is to keep this program intact. Learn more about School Resource Officers and School-based Policing here.
Why shouldn’t we discuss politics in school? Just like we don’t bring religion in schools because no one religion is all-inclusive. The last place we need partisan politics is in our classrooms, school boards, and administration, where political labels can influence students' young minds. Our goal is to expose extreme activities and ideas. Please take a closer look at your elected officials and what they are doing publicly. Let us know what's happening on your school board and in your child's classroom.
We believe in an equal representation of a fuller American history and tell our nation’s full story to provide the true historical context, not erase the past. Preserving history to be taught chronologically and include the world's story of slavery, genocide, wars fought, lands conquered, and empires built. Are schools focused on fitting history to the student, or fitting the student to history? History guides us to improve the future for generations to come, it's important that all events are shared.
Contact us if you have encountered extreme activity in your school.
We focus on equity, diversity and bullying. Our schools have an abundance of students that come from different cultures, religions, views and they all must feel welcome. We support educational equity in offering individualized support to students that address possible barriers, like poverty or limited transportation. Our coalition also believes in cultural diversity and are against bullying others with different views. As a coalition, we would like to see more administration, teachers, and board members that are solely in tune with their students’ needs and provide resources to overcome their specific challenges, not personal political agendas.

The Niles Township Accountability Coalition (NTAC) was created nearly two years ago. Our base has grown far beyond what we had initially imagined during this time. We have worked hard to build parental rights awareness within our community. As with any organization, rapid growth comes with new challenges and opportunities. We are committed to ensure your voices are heard and look to align with other organizations that have the resources to serve our community better. We are dissolving NTAC and are proud to announce the
Awake Niles Township Chapter!
