Change cannot happen with the voice of only one individual - it takes a community. Join our cause and help us work toward the vision and mission of keeping partisan politics out of our schools.
We are still mobilizing and shaping the NTAC organization to include membership. It's a lot of work to put this type of mission together and execute. You don't need to be in the front line if you prefer to stay behind the scene. Behind the scene, assistance is always welcome.
Currently, we are looking for potential volunteers in the following areas:
Public Information & Legal - The purpose of this committee is to develop, on an ongoing basis, strategies to improve and assure that the work of the NTAC is timely and accurately communicated to the public with an emphasis toward Freedom of Information Act, legislation being made by State Legislators, Governors, and other State and Federal lawmakers.
Fundraising - This is a valuable component as this committee will take a leadership role in planning and coordinating revenue-generating strategies.
Membership - The membership committee monitors all aspects of membership, including invitations, retention, and organizing monthly and annual meetings.
School Board Election - This committee works to vette, promote and organize meet and greets with potential school board candidates.
Curriculum and Programs - This committee will provide guidance and support for curriculum and organize program events beneficial to our community youth.
Equity, Diversity & Bullying - We support educational equity in offering individualized support to students that address possible barriers, like poverty or limited transportation. Our coalition also believes in diversity and is against bullying others with different views. This committee is tasked with understanding educational disparities and suggesting ways to improve communication and fight against bullying.
Marketing & Technology - This committee will focus on digital and grassroots reach. This includes developing content for the website blog, creating monthly newsletters, assist in social media updates and press releases, and media opportunities.
SROs and Law Enforcement - The goal of this committee is two-fold; to support our law enforcement, and bridge the gap between teachers and school administrators to promote school safety and to ensure physical safety by the SROs.
If you find interest in any of the areas above and want to volunteer, we would love to hear from you!
The Niles Township Accountability Coalition (NTAC) was created nearly two years ago. Our base has grown far beyond what we had initially imagined during this time. We have worked hard to build parental rights awareness within our community. As with any organization, rapid growth comes with new challenges and opportunities. We are committed to ensure your voices are heard and look to align with other organizations that have the resources to serve our community better. We are dissolving NTAC and are proud to announce the
Awake Niles Township Chapter!
